Project/Team Background:
Position Services team is responsible for renovating the firm’s Corporate Action processing system. The processing required by our systems is very diverse, and includes: position capture, calculation of entitlement, notification of upcoming events to clients, gathering responses from clients, reflecting entitlement on the firms books, and processing payments.
Our team supports two key applications: Notification & Response system, a firm wide web-based application, is a tool to notify clients' upcoming corporate action events and collect responses; it has various interfaces to support both internal and external users. Scorpio, which has both C# and web front ends, is a system for entitlement calculation and payment processing. Both systems have very complex business rules and numerous processes running in the background to support the core functions. The team is concentrating on extending these systems to more complex corporate actions and rolling them out globally.
Position:
The candidate will be part of the Position Services SH Ideas team responsible for supporting the full SDLC for the current systems and renovation project work, below are the key aspects of this position:
• Exposure to all aspects of the SDLC • Extensive client/user interaction • Interaction with Engineering and other development teams • Rolling out new features/functions to Asia markets • Development work for small and large projects( 1 week to 12 months) • Hands on all relevant technologies including Java, C#, Perl and databases • Good understanding of corporate actions and other related businesses • Compressive knowledge on the systems and related external systems • Execution and support of all required testing – including unit, system, regression, functional, UAT etc. • Production support
