Responsibilities:

• To be a part of Equity Finance – Prime Brokerage & Lending desk IT team

• Perform analysis and build management reports (P&L, trend analysis, audit, operational errors/exceptions) to assist in managing the business as well as identifying potential risk areas

•             Liaise between Equity Finance and Technology to ensure a streamlined approach to product development and operational issues; take proactive lead in technology issues .

• Provide first and second front line support of a 24/5 production cycle including Equity Finance IT systems and Fidessa

• Research, review, design, develop, and enhance new and existing processes/applications to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, also ensure firm and regulatory standards are met and potential risks are minimized

• Provide expertise and counsel to clients (Hedged funds, administrators, audit/compliance, middle & back office) as a reference on technology and processes related to PB. Providing quality service and solutions that meet business deliverables and end-user requirements
• Identify/implement process improvements to enhance revenue, customer experience and/or reduce costs
• Provide seamless integration of activities and processes, recognizing system interdependencies
• Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise on the applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery

Requirments:

University graduate with degree in IT or a related discipline
• At least five years’ working experience in an investment banking business environment
• Proven experience in overseeing whole project lifecycles from gathering requirements through to production release
• Knowledge in equity finance/delta one operations and products such as Equity Swap, P-Notes, LEPO, Options, CFDs, Stock Borrow and Loan
• Solid technical experience in:
o Database (Sybase/Oracle) application support and SQL; knowledge of performance tuning is desired
o Knowledge in Fidessa, Sophis, Global One, Business Objects, IBM MQ Series, Bloomberg API, Thomson Reuters API/Datascope is an advantage
o Unix scripting and programming
• Responsive with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Confident in working with people at all levels, including the business (front and back office) and support staff.
