Our client requires a dynamic person who is comfortable working in a small team in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. This person must be comfortable delivering multiple complex projects while also managing critical on-going operational and financial issues. The person must be well organized, very “hands on” and enjoy the challenge of building a company as part of a cohesive team. Suitable candidates are likely to have gained previous experience working in alternative investment such as hedge funds, fund of fund, private equity. Core responsibilities - Ultimate responsibility for all areas of the firm’s operations. - Managing all aspects of accounting systems, control and reports. - Setting financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting - Ensuring regulatory compliance. - IT system management. - Office management. Experience / Qualifications - Graduate, ideally in a finance, economics or accounting discipline, with a second qualification, such as; ACA / CIMA / CFA / MBA. - Previous COO/CFO experience in the financial services
- Prior experience managing a finance function and/or back office in a financial services firm.
- Experience gained in a fast growing smaller entity would be advantageous.
- Exposure to the alternative investment markets, such as hedge funds or private equity preferred.
- A track record building a strong operational infrastructure to support growth.
