Department Overview Finance Strategic Initiatives is responsible for addressing any issues that impact Americas Finance broadly and don't have an obvious “owner” from one of the existing areas: Product Control, Financial Control, Tax or FDS. This involves project management, policies and procedures and subject matter expertise as well as coordination across all areas of the firm.
Main Function This person will support a newly created desk that enables Barclays Wealth Americas to execute trades for their clients across all trading desks within Barclays Capital and externally.
Main Duties Daily P & L review
New product review
Review and reconciliation of data flows (front-to-back)
Coordination across all of BarCap finance, particularly PCG, FC and FDS
Person Requirements Essential:
College degree
Financial services background, product control experience
Strong PS skills- Excel/Access, Bloomberg
Preferred:
CPA/CA
Project management experience
Knowledge of multiple products, not simply one type of security, i.e., equities only
