Job Purpose: 

To build, develop and deliver Treasury products  

Job Background/context: 

IPB is a rapidly growing business. It offers offshore wealth management and banking for Citi clients in Europe and beyond. Clients benefit from a diverse range of products including mutual funds, structured notes, credit products and international brokerage, as well as traditional liability products. However, our product range is undergoing transition in terms of competitiveness as well as value proposition. To impart the right focus on introducing, maintaining and growing the most profitable / value creating Treasury and FX products.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Products: Provide technical, product and system input into the development, scoping and implementation of the Treasury products.  Use customer and market understanding to identify new product opportunities and enhancements that drive incremental business and customer value while ensuring differentiated product offer from competitors

• Driving Sales: Delivery of revenue and cost targets to maximise profitability across the Treasury products range. Develop and agree plans and provide appropriate guidance where "off track" characteristics are displayed.   Ensure that all appropriate client facing staff are fully familiar with policies and provide explanatory information as required, either on a group basis or one to one. Manage the process and influence interaction with the Sale force, to ensure that the delivery of Treasury products is undertaken in an efficient, professional manner. 

• Training: Develop, manage and promote a Training programme that delivers required professional, product and sales skills.

• Client Focus: Attend client meetings in support of Relationship Managers to provide technical assistance and advice on Treasury products and the structuring the deals.

• Controls: Responsible for an appropriate governance and control environment is in place so that legal, regulatory, audit and compliance responsibilities are discharged effectively. Overseeing the products that are developed sold and managed in accordance with Citi guidelines and policies. Manage the administration of the product approval process, ensuring the external and internal product and literature approval process is followed, including TCF needs

• Management Information:  Gather and prepare information to enable the monitoring of Regional and individual Market plans against agreed targets.  Monitor and report portfolio performance.  Work with sales to actively manage portfolio mix in line with agreed strategy. Understand and inform short-term plans and budgets. Research the various sources of data available within IPB to provide management information relating to product mix and product penetration. 

• Analyse the local markets in order to identify banking and treasury product opportunities, provide support for the creation and development of new products as well as tracking and reporting new product launches and amendments to products both for treasury and banking products

• Deliver Treasury products and balance sheet profitability in line with plan - monitor performance v plan, identify gaps / opportunities and make recommendations as to how to close these gaps. Understand the key financial drivers and use these to make recommendations to improve revenue generation and cost savings.

• Will be working with a wide group of internal partners like Regional Product teams, Sales team, Portfolio Counsellors, O&T, Country Legal & Compliance team part of the activities.

• Work with the Product Head towards fulfilling the Business strategy & direction for this product class

• Build, lead and manage the team of Product Manager(s) for Liabilities and Credit products.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Substantial experience in Treasury Products.

• Understanding of b/s as well as P&L dynamics

• Good understanding of treasury products, derivative instruments, and foreign exchange products.

• Experienced in treasury process and/or finance processes

• Banking experience working with treasury products

  Skills:

• Excellent organisational skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to adapt to new tasks quickly

• Good project management experience

 Qualifications:

• Educated to degree level in Business / Finance / Economics. (Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.)
