This is a client facing front office risk role within the Prime Services Risk Management function. Even though this is a cross product area, we are looking for candidates with a background in market risk covering equity derivatives.

UBS is a client-driven global financial services firm. Our leading investment banking and securities business provides a broad range of products and services to our corporate and institutional clients, governments, financial intermediaries and alternative asset managers.

The Equity business is looking to hire a risk manager to own the analysis of OTC counterparty risk exposures, including development of key risk metrics and issue resolution. The role currently sits within the Prime Services Risk Management function.

Purpose of Business Risk Management:
- Measure and track market, credit and operational risk within the business.

- Establish risk policy and work closely with clients and senior management on critical issues impacting the business’s bottom line.

- Spearhead the development and rollout of new products, especially risk analysis metrics/tools and improved margin capabilities.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Own the analysis of risk exposures to OTC Equity Derivatives counterparties, including exposures on non-equity derivatives products for those counterparties.

- Monitor operational risks in the collateral/margin process and ensure key issues are elevated and resolved expeditiously.

- Work with Trading, Sales, Business Management, Operations/Control functions and Clients to grow our client businesses through creative use of risk and margin methods.

- Assist in the development of the risk framework and infrastructure for the business

Required Skillset:
- Sound knowledge of trading products (derivatives and cash), risk sensitivities and exposures.

- Practical problem solver with project management experience, able to leverage cross-functional resources to resolve issues and meet business/client needs.

- Good judgment and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

- Good communication and client skills.

Required Experience:
- Experience in a trading or market risk control environment at a financial services firm.
