Algorithmic Trading Developer £65,000 to £75,000 per annum London

A world-leading investment management company is looking for a Java focused Algorithmic Trading Developer to join their front office IT team. As a highly skilled Java focused Algorithmic Trading Developer you will be working closely with a range of hedge fund professionals including quantitative analysts, traders and operations staff to design and implement cutting edge systems. You will work on high frequency market data feeds, the statistical trading signal generation system and high frequency electronic execution components on the trading platform. You have outstanding knowledge of Java, including OO design and patterns, and knowledge of C++ and relational databases would be advantageous. You will be a proponent of agile development methods, including continuous integration, unit testing and refactoring. You will have strong knowledge of distributed, server-side development on all major platforms. Knowledge of trading systems and capital markets will be highly beneficial, as will an understanding of statistical methods and probability and their application to trading systems. Experience in the front office technology group of a trading organisation will be a significant advantage.
