This dynamic, growing life insurer currently has a fantastic opening for a dynamic accounting professional to undertake this challenging but pivotal role within a leading insurer.
Reporting to the Financial Controller for this large Hong Kong business operation and responsibility for up to 10 strong Accountants your role will include:
Ensure accurate and timely information to regional and international headquarters
Quarterly Executive Review , Quarterly Business Review and Dashboard: manage process for collection and collation of information, undertake analysis and work with to provide against last year, plans and budgets, for management.
Group Reporting – Provide FIFRS results for group reporting purposes.
Coordinate with Regional Office and actuarial for the strategic planning process and ensure reporting requirements from Melbourne and Paris are met. Provide analysis on strategic plan financials.
Ensure the development and continues tracking of consistent Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other measures of assessment (such as scorecards, target letter, quarterly bonus for distribution)
Staff development and supervision
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant with at least 10 years’ post qualification experience
Strong understanding/ experience in insurance industry
Strong technical knowledge in IFRS
Hands on experience in financial accounting and performance reporting
Project management experience
Strong Management Experience
Experience/ knowledge of PeopleSoft would be an advantage
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Good English verbal and written communication skills required, Cantonese essential.
Excellent planning, organization and negotiation skills
