This is a key role within the Risk function our Global Banking and Markets investment banking division. A successful risk professional is sought for a key role within the Risk Information Services team

This role is to add senior credit risk reporting expertise and management to the department. The jobholder will act as deputy to the Head of RISR and will also have overarching responsibility across the various risk reporting functions within the department. This will cover regular risk reporting and MI and ad-hoc information requests as well as the programme of new reporting & MI developments.
There are approx 50 staff within the department of which 22 are involved directly in risk reporting and reporting/MI development.

Requirements

To provide credit reporting and analysis services to the GBM Risk Executive Team, their Management Teams, Non-Core division, Group and other areas of GBM that require risk information. More specifically, to:
•    Ensure the maintenance of a fit-for-purpose credit risk reporting and associated analytical function in order to provide the GBM Chief Credit Officer and Management Team with timely and accurate credit risk information for risk management decision making, Board Reporting, RWA analysis and sign off, operational credit risk reporting, ad hoc analysis and risk model development.
•    Regularly interface with senior members of GBM, Non-Core, Group Risk and Finance to ensure the reporting meets current and future requirements.
•    Set the strategy for the development of reports and MI to meet new and changing information requirements and ensure there is a delivery plan. Build key relationships with the IT and Change teams in GBM Risk, Group Risk and GBM Finance to ensure successful communication of requirements and successful delivery.
•    Help define the team structure, skills, experience and capabilities required to deliver the required services. Recruit, retain and develop talent within the team to deliver the services required.
•    Undertake service reviews with key customers to understand where improvements can be made in the provision of information services.
•    Deputise for the Head of RISR as required.

The Individual

•    Prior significant credit risk reporting and portfolio analysis and the ability to bring market best practice to the team
•    Good understanding of credit principles and processes in a wholesale banking environment
•    Ability to work closely with senior Credit management and build strong relationships with other executive and senior manager stakeholders
•    Experienced with risk reporting systems and data services
•    Some experience in delivering and managing information management solutions
•    Ability to handle a multitude of tasks and deadlines simultaneously
•    Strong leadership and the ability to develop multi-disciplinary teams.
