Our client is world leader in financial services. Its DCM division is an emerging markets-led and financing-focused business that provides tailored financial solutions to major government, corporate and institutional clients worldwide. As a result of business expansion we are seeking high calibre business professional to join as Head, DCM China. This position is based in Shanghai.
 

Overall job purpose

Build the strategically important DCM presence in China to compliment the leading position of the Bank in emerging market

Lead a team of sales and support staff based in Shanghai and Beijing

Build, share and apply knowledge and manage the activities of team in order to provide the adequate products and services that help positioning of the Bank
 

Description

• Build DCM team from scratch, work with trading / sales team to deliver successful bond mandates
• Provide advisory and financing solutions to existing and new large corporate clients
• Originate and structure financing solutions, syndicated loan facilities, and structured finance transactions for these clients
• Manage underwriting risk, documentation risk, team compliance and operation risk
• Coordinate legal documentation and due diligence process
• Maintains internal control standards
• Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor degree, preferably in mathematics or engineering; Masters or PhD a huge plus
• Proven track record of running a successful business in capital markets
• Must have experience working with loans/bonds/high yield or investment grade credit
• Essential to have worked in China, Hong Kong markets
• Good command of oral & written English, Chinese
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Self starter, independent with good organizational skills
• Strong local knowledge on regulation and clients
