How would you like to be part of one of the most exciting business areas within RBS right now?

An opportunity has arisen to lead the credit card fraud strategy team, managing a team of analysts to identify and implement measures to protect RBS against the growing threat of financial crime. If you are looking for a challenge where no day is the same and are passionate about driving our business forward then this role is for you.

The RBS group is a large international banking and financial services company. Headquartered in Edinburgh, the Group operates in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Americas and Asia, serving more than 40 million customers. The Group provides a wide range of products and services to personal, commercial and large corporate and institutional customers through its two principal subsidiaries, The Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest, as well as through a number of other well known brands including, Citizens, Ulster Bank, Coutts, Direct Line and Churchill.

The credit card team within Retail Financial Crime is responsible for the management of Fraud Risk for RBS credit cardholders. It utilises the latest real time fraud profiling tools to balance the need of our customers to be able to use their cards easily any time, anywhere against the threat of fraudulent use of these card details by 3rd parties.

This opportunity is for an ambitious self starter who has a strong background in both fraud risk & credit cards. The primary purpose of this role will be to manage the analysts who identify and put in place the fraud strategies that protect RBS against financial crime. In addition, the successful applicant will be responsible for identifying ways to enhance our fraud profiling tools, provide SME support for the development of new products, and face off to our internal & external stakeholders to a senior level.

The role requires:

-Highly developed analytical and report writing skills

-Experience of consumer Credit or debit cards, and a background in Risk (preferably fraud risk).

-The ability to lead a team of highly motivated graduate analysts.

-A strong understanding of the financial drivers of business.

-An adept communicator, confident at dealing with stakeholders at all levels with an ability to present in an engaging and compelling way.

-A confident decision maker, methodical in approach to reaching decisions and adept in identifying creative and innovative solutions within tight timelines

With us, hard work adds up to more. Our rewards include a generous salary, the opportunity to participate in bonus schemes and discounted Group products. Plus we offer a 25% benefit funding that gives you the option of choosing your own mix of cash and benefits... All of which creates a truly flexible benefits package that fits your changing needs and lifestyle.

Please note as part of our referencing process credit checks will be undertaken.
