Our client a well known global custodian is looking for a senior level Project Manager with front to back office experience.
The client has just launched a new multi million dollar project that is focused on the re-engineering of the Global Custody and Global Clearance businesses. Its objective is to rationalise the current operating model through increased automation, introducing workflow management across the business process and rationalising applications that support the business today. This project will enable the establishment of Asset Servicing and Settlement utilities that can be leveraged by businesses at a Bank level.
This individual will manage a work stream with focus on cash, treasury and liquidity
The core responsibilities for this position will include:
Design of business functionality taking into consideration client and market trends
Strong cash, treasury & liquidity background
The significant intellectual knowledge embedded in legacy applications is captured, modernised and forms part of the core of the new business processes such that there is an invisible impact on clients transitioning from old to new
Risks to the execution of the project are managed
Oversight and quality assurance of projects impacting their business
End to end ownership of design and delivery
Leading/participating in meetings at the operational and project level, providing continuous feedback on project status; offering constructive options to ensure project tracks to original expectations
Supporting business units in the development and execution of plans for a successful implementation
Qualifications / Experience:
Expertise in project management discipline and techniques
Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to recognise issues and influence and implement change
Strong team building skills
Intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Project
Must have successful history in delivery of complex, cross line of business programs. Experience managing remote, matrixed project teams.
Thorough understanding of project requirements, project delivery process, testing success factors and implementation guidelines
An ability to articulate strategic objectives, and set a vision for their business
Delivery focused
Strong sense of accountability
An ability to think outside the box and not be constrained by a " this is the way we've always done it" mentality
An ability to manage and motivate people whether they are direct or indirect reports and be able to manage upwards
