Global Delivery Manager

The delivery manager will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of projects and programmes including: • Ensuring that projects follow a project management process that reinforces delivery • Understanding overall project/ programme portfolio and identify/manage portfolio level dependencies, issues and risks • Performing reviews on high risk projects and intervening to turn around troubled projects/programmes • Setting objectives and carrying out performance appraisals for project resources • Manage specific project workstreams to meet project/ programme targets and KPIs. • Ensuring all deliverables, including Communications and Stakeholder engagements, from the workstreams / projects are to appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project/programme plan. • Aligning the change leadership (sponsors, change agents and project/ programme leadership) to the change. • Develop and maintain the requirements for, and the nature of, interventions to raise the organisation's change capacity to the required level. • Developing, maintaining and managing the project/ programme's communications and stakeholder strategies and plans including key messages and content of project/ programme communications, and overseeing the production of all project/ programme communications. • Assessing the organisation's capacity (collective and individual) to absorb the change. • Establishing the project/ programme change vision and articulating the challenge. • Assist in global resource planning, tracking & scheduling, providing a consolidated view to the global/regional heads. • Support local and global budget tracking and reforecast process, being aware of global resource usage. • Assist in global resource planning, tracking & scheduling, providing a consolidated view to the global/regional heads. • Support local and global budget tracking and reforecast process, being aware of global resource usage. • Support the Senior Management in the production of presentation material for communications with the business and IT • Support and coordinate the team's compliance with internal policies and procedures, e.g. SOX • Act as the deputy for the overall IT programme lead Experience
• Extensive experience delivering large scale programmes with both IT and business components • Deep understanding of project management processes, tools and controls • Educated to degree level, or equivalent, with proven people management capability and a strong record of delivery • Strong experience of Project Definition and Planning, Requirements gathering, analysis and definition, Business Modeling and Financial Information, Process analysis, mapping and design • Excellent understanding of technical design/processes to support delivery of IT solutions • Excellent business communication skills • Proven Project Management and Change Management skills and expertise • Implementation Management • High degree of organisational awareness • Flexing individual style to meet needs/expectations of different cultures in the organization • Process and Programme Management understanding/expertise • Knowledge of complex Financial Services environments - especially Derivatives • Able to target material and communication to a wide range of audiences at all levels in the organization. • Excellent Experience operating within a Business or IT Change environment, delivering complex Change, Project Management or Business analysis • Demonstrable track record of successful delivery in a number of very large-scale, high-profile strategic change projects • Understanding of Project and Change Management methods and disciplines. • Successful Team Management • Strong consultancy background. • PC literate • Confident, assertive and effective communicator. • Team player. • Delivery focused and deadline driven. • Highly analytical. • Ability to network and influence, strong collaboration skills. • Ability to gain consensus when faced with differing views. • Strong client and stakeholder management capabilities • Operations business process knowledge • Excellent documentation skills
