The successful applicant will responsible for maintaining both investment accounting and expense accounting records (including the purchase ledger) as well as participate in the provision of control and reporting services. Responsibilities: • To monitor, reconcile and review the daily processing of transactions from other business systems into the accounting systems and assist in the production of consolidated accounting information. • To maintain the accounting records to an agreed standard and in compliance with accepted accounting principles and collate and analyse financial and non financial information as required. • To participate in the production of accurate and timely financial and investment accounting information. • To assist in the development and maintenance of financial controls and procedures to safeguard the assets of the business. Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge: • A Bachelors degree, plus an internationally recognised accountancy qualification or actively working towards an ACCA or equivalent qualification. • Experienced in working for a financial services organisation, experience in investment and expense accounting within a finance function would be preferable. • An understanding of investment together with the ability to be an expert user in the relevant PC based accounting systems. • Team player able to work flexibly in a professional and timely manner and provide cross cover in a small team. • Competence in Excel and Word.
