Department



The European Finance Controllership Group consists of 22 employees across Europe with a central hub in London. The team are responsible for group US financial reporting, local statutory reporting and financial controls for each of the EMEA offices.

Responsibilities



The Role The role holder will be based in London, working as part of the European Accounts Payable team handling the supplier invoice process for certain EMEA entities. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable * Accurate and timely recording of supplier invoices / T&E expenses * Ensuring accurate posting by Line of Business * Ensuring invoices are correctly approved * Ensuring items are correctly posted for VAT and tax purposes * Resolving disputed items with the assistance of the managers responsible for approving the expense Fixed Assets * Recording Fixed asset invoices Internal Accounting Controls * Assisting Financial Accountants with AP Trade Adjustment reconciliations - this involves reconciling vendors accounts and correcting entries on AP module * Ensuring that all accounting policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Experience



* Relevant work experience of working in a similar role or shared service centre

Qualifications



* Part qualified Accountant (AAT/ACCA or similar)

Key Tech and Non-Tech Skills



* Well developed IT skills including Email, Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Experience of working with ERP software based accounting package (preferably PeopleSoft) Non technical skills * Client Care * Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels * Ability to ensure ongoing self development * Strong attention to detail * Highly organised and efficient * Ability to work to tight deadlines * Good interpersonal skills * Good verbal and written communication skills * Work using own initiative and without close supervision * Excellent planning, organizational, implementation and follow-up skills required * Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage several projects This job description is issued as a guideline to assist you in your duties, it is not exhaustive and we would be pleased to discuss any constructive comments you may have.
