Risk controlling is responsible for the appropriate valuation of positions and provision of daily risk and performance information to the trading desks and senior management, including sound analysis and commentary on positions, risk measures and performance movements. Key accountabilities: • Production and commentary of the global daily and monthly risk reports including calculation and maintenance of global position and risk measures • Development of risk reporting, inclusion of new desks/parts of the business into the daily risk report • Improving current global risk reporting with focus on FX and Interest Rate Exposure reporting • Performing Stress Tests on group’s overall portfolio and report on results • Allocation and maintenance of global limits granted by the group and trading desk limits granted by the Board • Working with company’s new global reporting database, provision of financial reporting submissions to finance • Maintenance of reporting critical system configuration of the Open Link Endur trading application (user roles, access security, portfolio administration) Skills & Experience: • 2-3 yrs experience ideally gained within the risk controlling/ financial reporting environment of an Energy Trading Company/Utility or an Investment Bank ( within commodities) • Qualified/ Part Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with a numerate degree (economic/financial/mathematical) • Methodical, numerate and analytical, with the ability to pay close attention to detail • Strong Excel and database skills. Knowledge of VBA, SQL and/or Endur as well as Business Objects • Knowledge of IAS 39 and accounting principles
