Reporting to the shareholders, you will be responsible for the overall management of our clients business in the EU, Eastern Europe and Asia so as to ensure maximum profits commensurate with the interest of all shareholders.
For our client we are looking for a Director Banking Business (CEO) on the Cayman Islands
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Achieve agreed revenue and return objectives
Develop with the advice and counsel of the senior members of the management, effective long-term and short-term business plans to guide the future programs
Ensure that policies are uniformly understood, interpreted and implemented at all levels. Review and recommends to the Top Management, policies and amendments thereof in significant areas for the smooth management of business. Maintain good regulatory relations and ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations. Monitor the compliance issues and takes appropriate action.
Oversee the development of operating and capital expenditure budgets. Ensure that appropriate financial systems and controls are in place and monitor all aspects of financial performance. Reviews and approves revised action plans as needed to improve financial performance and cost effectiveness.

The requirements for the role are:
MBA or professional qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business or Law
Ten years or more working experience in Banking Business, there from at least five years in a senior management position. Experience in Trade and Finance is welcome.
A previous track record in Corporate Relationship Management
Fluent English (German could be advantageous but is not a must)
Strong credit skills
Strong structuring and execution skills
Familiar with all aspect of deal management
Autonomous, visionary leader with the ability to quickly identify the key success factors and act decisively
The ideal candidate has good experience in compliance e.g. as Compliance Officer for a Investment Manager, Asset Manager, Hedge Fund or a Corporate Finance company.
