Our PBIT team is looking for Head International Data Warehouse to join the team in the Singapore office
ROLE SUMMARY:
The incumbent will own the planning, building and operation of the Credit Suisse Private Banking International Data Warehouse (iDWH) and supporting business Intelligence infrastructure and data marts. They will conceptualize, plan, implement and run the iDWH ensuring delivery of new functionality and the fulfillment of agreed service levels.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
Tasks / responsibilities
- Lead and manage the iDWH team ensuring the capability and skills of staff is suitable for the ongoing development and operation of the iDWH. - Coaching of the key staff and enable them by bringing in the broad functional and technical experience - Working with Global Product Mgmt to define the strategic roadmap and to identify and document the business requirements of iDWH, business Intelligence and data mart environments. - Ensure that the overall architecture and quality of the iDWH and Business Intelligence environment is suitable for the business requirements - Develop best practices for data loading and extraction into and out of the data warehouse. - Run day to day operations ensuring all SLAs are met. - Manage the Book of Work (BOW) for the iDWH
Communication The incumbent will liaise and communicate with senior executives (from IT and the Business) on: - The objectives and vision of the iDWH. - The architecture, goals and directions of the iDWH - The status of projects and initiatives with stakeholders at senior levels. - The operational status of the iDWH.
In addition the incumbent must: - Be able to influence decisions through expertise and negotiations and communicate objectives effectively based on facts and using concepts familiar to the target audience - Articulate coherently business priorities against technology constraints and opportunities based on a sound understanding of the overall IT division strategy and architecture. - Work with other teams and achieve outcomes when all staff required to do work do not report directly to incumbent. - Flexibility in working hours to account for communication and collaboration with the various regions - Regular travel to head office and regions to work with and meet with stakeholders
The overall responsibility of the Competence Center Private Banking Applications is to support private banking business globally through the delivery of software development lifecycle services and management of provider and vendor relationships.
Our offices are in Singapore, India and Switzerland where we drive the Temenos T24 strategy and product development. Additionally we own the product responsibility for the International Data Warehouse (iDWH) and Integration Layer.
The global Temenos vendor relationship management is done by our specialists in Zurich which also provides project management capabilities for Head Office and global rollout projects. TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree - English fluent - Degree in engineering or computer sciences - MBA or business administration equivalent education
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
- Must have a degree in engineer, science or business disciplines and 12 + years experience in data warehousing and business intelligence with at least 7 years in leadership positions preferably in the finance industry. - Very good understanding of the banking and management accounting business - Should have technical background of development, Configuration & Management of solutions like Oracle, Teradata Data Warehousing & BI solutions - Well versed to conduct requirement gathering and coordination with business capabilities, communication & coordination - Should be able assess future requirement and plan proactively - Evidence of being able to interact with senior technology and banking executives - Experience working in a matrix environment demonstrating influence and negotiation skills of a high order - Evidence of Project/ people management skill on large multi location projects. - Evidence of the ability to develop strong interpersonal alliances at all levels both within and outside the firm - Very good in understanding business and mapping of business data objects - Have held a role were they were operationally accountable for a significant business intelligence environment previously. Experienced in DWH technologies such as PowerCenter, Oracle and Business Objects. Knowledge of Java and WebLogic Application Server. - Certification in Change & Release management experience in Development / Software Integration organizations.
TECHNICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Proven technology line management experience. - Strong background in Banking and Banking technology. - Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse technology, - Effective communicator - Backend system core banking experience in particular Temenos T24 - Experience in IT architecture frameworks is an advantage
