The Country Chief Risk Officer is responsible for leading the Country Risk function. This function identifies, assesses and monitors to make timely and measured judgments on all current and potential future risks faced by the bank. The primary aim of this is to protect the employees, assets and reputation of the Group and to grow shareholder value and profitability in line with Group Risk Management philosophy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following risk disciplines: ? Operational Risk ? Insurance Risk ? Credit and Market Risk
Experience ? Exposure to demanding operational environments to gain insight into the most effective risk management applications. ? Working across all levels of the organisation to understand cross-functional linkages and interdependencies, as well as the implications of risk at both a strategic level and at the business unit level. ? Exposure to demanding operational environments to gain insight in to effective risk management applications. ? Exposure to complex insurance environments translating to effective risk management. ? Good knowledge and exposure to products and environments in line with key Ireland risk review areas – i.e. Operational and Insurance predominantly. ? A high level of professional competence which helps to determine solutions around appropriate risk measures, risk processes, risk monitoring and management. ? Experience of creating, developing and leading a team within a matrix reporting environment.
