The successful candidate for this position will take responsibility for the financial activities of the organisation by ensuring the provision of the financing necessary to achieve the organisation’s business plans at optimal cost & structure. They will ensure that the accounting and finance functions are run effectively and play a key role as a member of the Management Committee/Investment Committee and the Senior Executive Management. In support of the CEO they will take a leading role in all aspects of the Group’s development, investment strategy and associated evaluation, negotiation, due diligence, execution and management to exit. The Group CFO will: • Generate and maintain strong relationships with investment banks, providers of finance and advisors, to ensure the company is optimally positioned to meet its financing requirements • Source and secure appropriate funding solutions at optimal cost and structure • Determine the finance policies and procedures of the organisation • Ensure the provision of financial planning and analysis to senior management as a basis for effective decision making • Ensure efficient/effective deal evaluation, negotiation, structuring and execution from a company financial risk and compliance perspective • Ensure the accounting function provides timely, accurate and concise management information / reports for senior management • Ensure effective implementation and utilisation of the Company’s Management Information System (MIS) within the finance function and at interface points with other functions • Implement and oversee the maintenance of standards in relation to statutory requirements on financial reporting and disclosure • Ensure the company audit process is effectively executed • Lead the Executive Management’s teams’ representation on the Audit Committee • Ensure all aspects of taxation are approached in an appropriate manner across the organisation with the objective of minimizing cost • Direct and manage the annual budgeting process for the organisation • Lead and direct the Group’s treasury function Communication & Working Relationships: • Key internal clients are CEO, Deputy CEO, COO-WC, individual CEO/COO’s of the group's subsidiaries, Board, Executive Committee and Audit Committee • Key external relationships include: 1.Providers of finance. 2.Institutional investors and analysts. 3.Professional advisors and auditors. The principle direct report will be the Group Financial Controller and the finance team at group-level. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: • MBA / CA / CPA with minimum of 15 years previous experience in finance with at least 3 years at CFO level within a leading private equity or principal investment business. • Pre CFO of a major Investment Company involved in multi-billion dollar transactions in the private equity and investment banking sectors. • Experience in listed companies. • A track record in the following areas: Finance Control, Risk Management, Treasury, funding… • Gravitas, strong negotiation skills and commercial judgment are key requirements. • Confident with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal professionally with people at all levels. • Tenacious and target driven. • Strong team building and management skills. • Multicultural with international exposure.
