Since 1995, Hudson Advisors and its affiliate offices exclusively manage and service investments acquired by the Lone Star Funds. The company has established an international presence with major offices located in the United States, Asia and Europe, including its affiliate Hudson Advisors International Ltd. Hudson Advisors recently created a new business unit servicing acquisitions of structured products in Europe. To date, the Structured Products team directly asset manages and reports on multiple portfolio transactions consisting of CMBS, RMBS, CDO, and synthetically-structured whole loans backed by commercial and residential real estate assets. Analyst / Associate Structured Products Activities in this role will include: - Analyze complex deal and borrower structures
- Analyzing actual reporting data, new data tapes as well as third-party reports to enter data into existing models/reporting structures
- Work with complex Excel models to forecast cash flows and perform scenarios
- Carry out scenario analyses of the current portfolio including sales of loans/MBS bonds, defaults, swaps with different parties
- Coordinate all internal groups including underwriting, legal, financing, and real estate
- Track deal performance of transactions with continuous benchmarking
- Conduct research on properties, tenants, and markets of the underlying loans
- Review and reconciliation of borrower reporting as well as monitoring of covenants
- Liaise with borrowers, issuers, agents, custodians, lawyers, and other third-parties
- Development of resolution strategies and assisting in the implementation
- Processing of waiver requests
- Preparation of internal and external reporting for our Client’s investors as well as lenders
- Draft presentations, schedules, fact sheets, and memos on various deals
- Preparation and development of detailed business plans for all securities and assets
- Maintenance and updating of deal information into Hudson’s proprietary database
Prior working experience should include: - Extensive financial modeling
- Ability to analyze outputs of models and communicate the results internally
- In-depth knowledge of real estate/property fundamentals
- Thorough understanding of real estate loan structures
- Securitization market knowledge
- Strong team player and the ability to work independently as well as multi-task in an open environment
- Mobility and willingness to travel
