Leading retail banking consultancy seeks consultants, business analysts and project managers to work on technology and performance improvement initiatives for retail banks and financial institutions.

Our client is a well respected financial services consultancy. Its successful retail banking practice delivers technology and business improvement initiatives for leading retail banks and financial institutions. Projects include systems selection, architecture, implementation and process improvement. Due to continued success and strong client demand, the team is seeking to hire consultants as part of its growth strategy.

You will have experience of working on core systems selection, architecture, replacement and performance improvement initiatives as a consultant, business analyst, project / programme manager or technical architect. Appropriate individuals will have good knowledge of retail banking technology and operations and should be able to demonstrate an appreciation of the changing trends and developments facing the industry.

An understanding of consulting within the financial services industry, including strategy, process mapping, project lifecycle and requirements gathering is highly desirable. You must have excellent knowledge and experience of retail banking products and processes, systems and technologies, with a demonstrable track record in the definition and / or implementation of IT in this area.

You will currently be working with a consultancy firm, retail bank, building society or systems vendor on technology change and performance improvement initiatives. Your experience should include involvement with some of the following:

  • Selection and implementation of core banking systems
  • Systems, technical and enterprise architecture
  • Business Analysis, Project / Programme Management, Technical Architecture
  • Process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Record of successfully delivering large and complex engagements or projects in the retail banking industry
  • BACS/CHAPS payments lifecycle, retail banking products and services
  • Transaction processing and data management, product control, middle/back office compliance operations
  • Regulatory reporting, credit risk, lending
  • Defining and implementing leading edge customer, product, and channel solutions

You will be working on high profile change initiatives so excellent presentation and communication skills are key. Suitable candidates must be able to work closely with clients on strategic initiatives, while building and developing successful business relationships.
