TRADING SYSTEMS SUPPORT – LONDON

We seek an accomplished Trading Support/System Administrator who has gained experience of Python and SQL database technologies to join our Trading Technology team.  You will help develop, configure tools and support the company’s trading systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining configuration and deployment tools for the company’s trading systems.
• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance of trading systems including; monitoring/pre-empting operational issues, fielding queries from other teams with regards system behaviour and effectively dealing with urgent issues as they arise.
• Configuring and deploying new trading systems and updates to existing systems.
• Developing and maintaining support tools.
• Testing of new releases.
• Providing out-of-hours technical support (rota basis).

Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be comfortable working with others and consider themselves a talented problem solver. Exposure to XSLT 1.0 or 2.0 and the ability to read C++ are desirable.  At least one years experience of system administration.
