One of the world's top rated financial institutions is searching for a Senior Technology Manager to lead the Algorithmic Trading Technology team within Equities Electronic Trading.
This person will manage a 12 person team, with room for growth. We are searching for a Lead/Manager who will continue to be a hands-on technologist (will still code). Therefore, this person will need to tech out very well and must possess strong architecture skills and strong knowlege of the Algorithmic Trading business.
You will lead a team in the rewriting of a brand new Algorithmic Trading System. Specific projects will involve building Crossing Engines as well as writing and implementing the Algorithmic Strategies. The new system will be built on Linux, using Java and C++ (either background will be considered).
This is a Director level role and our client is going to be very selective. You must have Algorithmic Trading experience and experience managing teams of 6-12 people.
Required Skills:
Hands-on Development/Architecture Skills
Extensive experience in Algorithmic Trading / Equities Electronic Trading
Crossing Engines, Algorithm implementation
Expert C++ or Core Java experience (Both is desired)
Linux, Unix and Windows
FIX knowledge
Multi-threading, TCP/IP, Messaging
Design Patterns, OO Methodology
Pluses:
Grad or Undergrad degree in Computer Science
Algorithmic Trading Strategies
Experience building Smart Order Routing Systems, Connectivity or DMA
