Team Overview The Global and International Equity team manages over £6.5 billion in fundamental Global and International Equity strategies. Schroders places strategic importance on the success of this team and the team is seeing strong client demand for their strategies in virtually every market in which Schroders operates. The global and international products draw on the major strengths of the Schroders group as an active, fundamentally-driven equity manager. We believe that we have one of the best resourced global equity teams in the industry –10 investors working together in London, consisting of portfolio managers and Global Sector Specialists, supported by over 70 local equity analysts on the ground in 11 countries. We have nearly 30 years experience in managing global and international equity mandates, one of the longest track records in the industry. Overview of role To be a member of the Global and International Equities Product team supporting the Global and International Equities investment team in the servicing of existing external clients, internal clients, and the development of future client prospects. The role will involve acting as a strong and effective link between the Investment and Distribution functions with respect to promoting the product by representing the investment management team through direct client contact, the development of supporting product materials, and responding to ad hoc requests from clients and the salesforce. The role will involve working closely with both the team’s product managers and investors to achieve our business objectives. Key elements - Providing specialist input to the sales and client service process and thereby enabling investment managers to remain focussed on delivering investment performance.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from clients, consultants, and the salesforce to enhance the understanding of the investment product and support the sales process
- Support the Product Executives team where necessary ensuring that product materials are produced to a high standard – including the production of RFP’s, presentations, documentation for internal meetings, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc client reporting
Essential Skills - CFA qualified or equivalent
- Strong understanding of investment products
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients
- To be a team player in a collegiate environment
- Time management skills required to be able to prioritise high volume of demands
- Flexibility to change emphasis in role to adapt to changing investment and commercial cycles
