A boutique investment advisor supporting investment activities for their fast growing client base of institutions, family offices and high net worth individuals.
The candidate will report to the Operations Principals based in the London office. The main responsibility will be to coordinate investment execution activities for a range of clients for the London office, and to support the principals and partners in managing client relationships. Key activities will include:
Client investment execution
Adhere to Policy and Procedures in implementing client execution
Ensure that client authorisations to investment recommendations are obtained and all orders are implemented in a timely manner
Maintain comprehensive supporting documentation for all client investments.
Client account management
Monitor client’s cash and securities accounts through closely managing the relationships with their custodians, trustees or third parties
Track client execution through to completion, sending confirmations on receipt of contract notes
Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately within our in-house systems
FX Hedging
Work with Principals/Senior Associates in reviewing the currency exposure of the client’s overall investment portfolios
Prepare detailed Forward Foreign Exchange contract instructions required to adjust and obtain the client’s required underlying currency exposure within their portfolios
Client account opening
Monthly/quaterly reporting
Client billing
Skills/Experience
The candidate must be an articulate self-starter with excellent analytical and organisational skills and the aptitude to prioritise daily workload whilst working efficiently and accurately under pressure.
The candidate must also demonstrate a strong sense of ownership for their work, allied to a team-player mindset, not just that of an employee.
The candidate will have a working knowledge of the financial industry and investments.
Experience in investment execution and fund accounting would be an asset.
Strong communication skills are vital as the role requires communication with management, service providers and clients.
The candidate will have a strong academic background through to degree level.
They must be comfortable working with numbers, with evidence of having studied maths/science subject to degree or A level and also have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Our preference would be for someone with a minimum of one years prior investment advisory experience.
We expect the candidate to study for a suitable regulatory qualification, for which support will be provided.
