An opportunity to join the strategy function of a leading financial services company in a leadership capacity reporting into the Head of Strategic planning & Research. The team is closely aligned to the CEO, the board and the executive leadership team and is responsible for the production and execution of the the Group's strategic plan. The functions clear objective is to support the leadership team in the development and execution of smart strategic decisions. The firm embraces a high performance culture and strategy is at the forefront of this, it also values social responsibility in a broader capacity.

You will be expected to provoke fresh and insightful thinking and act as a catalyst for innovative thinking and decision making.

Focus points will include:

• Annual review and production of the five year strategic plan ensuring continuous change and improvement in strategic planning process and output. 
• Supporting the leadership team in evaluating macro strategic issues for the broader business assisting in the execution of smart strategic decisions. 
• Managing and mentoring a team of three research analysts supporting their output and career development 
• Assessing new markets and potential opportunities including conducting strategic due diligence 

You will possess excellent analytical skills, commercial judgement and the ability listen, communicate and influence outcomes.You will have demonstrated working in a team and leading a team towards the achievement of strategic objectives. Experience wise you will be expected to have at least 5 Years strategy development experience gained with one of the top-tier management consulting houses or as a strategy manager within a financial services institution, preferred is a minimum of at least two years financial services experience and a further post graduate qualification.
