Sybase DBA/ Database Administrator working on UNIX, with good knowledge of design, performance tuning, triggers, stored procedures, capacity planning, replication etc required to join a small team supporting a niche financial services firm in London.

This quite is a diverse and interesting role involving the usual DBA duties, working mainly with Sybase. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Sybase ASE v12.0+ with some experience around MySQL.

Furthermore the client is looking for strong scripting experience (Ksh, Perl, Ruby etc). You will be supporting a database infrastructure over 5 countries so there could be some out of hours work.

Candidates must have a proven track record and excellent communication skills are important as you will need to liaise with different teams on a regular basis.
