What you’ll do

At Optiver, Wholesale Traders are the key link between our screen traders and external trading relations. As a member of our wholesale team you will be responsible for order flow in the professional market deriving from the various exchanges we trade on. Other than our screen traders, who trade directly on the exchange, you will trade directly and indirectly with hedge funds, pension funds, institutional investors and big banks, often through intermediates such as brokers. To achieve this you will work in close collaboration with a team of screen traders aimed at maximizing Optiver’s overall performance.

What we need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
• 0-4 years working experience, preferably in financial markets;
• Excellent social and communication skills;
• The ability to interpret data, solve problems and make decisions under pressure;
• Having an existing network is a plus;
• An entrepreneurial spirit and a talent for growing business in new directions;
• An eye for accuracy and attention to detail;
• Willingness to travel semi regularly within Europe;
• Fluency in English (fluency in French, Italian, German or Spanish is a plus).
