Our Product Control STR team is looking for a Senior Product Controller to join their team in our Singapore office.
The Product Control teams are our financial guardians of the bank's sales and trading activities and therefore play a critical part within the broader finance organisation in delivery service excellence to our clients.
We fulfil this role through:
• Ensuring complete, accurate and timely P&L and balance sheets. • The independent validation of our trading positions' valuations. • Evaluating and integrating new products and businesses into our financial environment. • The provision of reliable and meaningful financial information to Credit Suisse colleagues and external stakeholders.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Structured Trade Review (STR) Group has been set up in Singapore to perform reviews of the bank's more complex trades with a view towards ensuring modelling and valuation integrity (amongst other aspects). Currently the group performs STRs of Exotic Equities, Exotic FX, Exotic Interest Rates, Fund Linked Products, Emerging Markets, Commodities and Exotic Credit Derivatives for desks based in Asia, Europe and the US. The team is divided into 3 broad teams and we are currently searching for a VP to manage one of these teams. The role will report into the director of the STR Group.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
• Management and oversight of a team of approx 7 people with responsibility for carrying out STRs on complex equities, fund linked products and emerging markets trades. • Provision of technical leadership on a range of complex issues in trade reviews spanning multiple asset classes. • Liaison with senior management in Front Office when required on valuation issues arising out of the STR process. • Liaison with senior Product Control management in various asset classes: feedback and discussion of issues identified. TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
Essential:
• Extensive experience in a valuations oriented role with exposure to a range of pricing techniques. • Some prior management experience. • Solid understanding of valuation principles spanning a range of asset classes. Good interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
