Working across base metals & natural gas, you will be repsonsible for managing relationships with traders and ensuring that the PnL balances on a daily basis. This is an excellent opportunity to further your credentials in a top-tier investment house and fast-track your finance career.
Product Control works closely with the business ensuring daily profit and loss statements (P&L) and Risk are reported accurately and timely, valuations and models are appropriate, while partnering on decision support. You will need to know the underlying asset class very well while being able to build cross border relationships around Europe, the U.S. and China. In this high profile role, the successful candidate will:
Manage and lead a small team in Commodities product control
Daily analysis of P&L generated by commodities businesses and responsibility for interacting with the business heads.
Drive the relationship with the business during this high growth period.
Drive and influence decision support Management Information Systems (MIS) for the business.
Oversee the preparation of the monthly accounting close, ensuring that the daily P&L is reflected accurately in the books and records.
Review and provide thought-leadership around monthly commodities valuation and reserves processes.
Partner with Technology and Operations to drive process efficiencies and infrastructure.
Lead the final phase of a significant project within Asia
Requirements:
Minimum 5-7 years related product control/accounting experience
Strong commodities product experience including knowledge of pricing and valuations
Degree in accounting, finance, or economics with strong academic credentials
CFA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualification required
Ability to work in a high pressure environment
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with all levels of the organisation (English/Mandarin)
