Responsibilities
The Data Services group is responsible for maintaining Moody's Economy.com's historical databases which contain economic time series. As part of Moody's Analytics global Data Services team, you will be responsible for : * Strategic acquisition of economic data * Data quality, including timeliness, accuracy and completeness * Client satisfaction, including speed and quality of responses to our clients * Client training on Moody's Economy.com's proprietary data access software and on the use of, strengths/weaknesses of, and intricacies of available economic data * Automation of data updates and estimation including the developing and coding of processes needed for data updates, documentation and estimation
Experience
* Strong interest in economics and a strong proficiency in computer use * Strong client orientation and an eagerness to excel * Well developed IT skills including Email, Word, intermediate Excel and PowerPoint * Familiarity with programming languages such as Visual Basic is a strong plus but nor essential * Good written and excellent communication and organisational skills * Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels * Client focused * Team player * Highly organised and efficient * Excellent attention to detail * Ability to work pro-actively and multi-task * Ability to work to tight deadlines * Ability to work using own initiative and without close supervision
Qualifications
* Strong academic background - B.A./B.S. degree with course work in economics, finance, statistics, or related fields
Languages
* Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in German or Italian or other European languages would be advantageous
