Team Overview

The team is based in London and is an integral part of the global fixed income business. They provide a conduit between the investment team and distribution teams and external clients. The team provides a wide range of services to multiple teams within the company, and are involved in a wide spectrum of activities. These range from new client pitches, new client take on operations to client servicing and communication. The ability to communicate at a high level with different teams and personnel is vital in order to effectively fulfil the role.

Overview of role

The role is both an internal as well as an external role. The individual is responsible for many of the functions of a Product Manager and is expected to be able to support the Product Managers on the team.  The role has multiple elements within it which are vital to ensuring the efficiency of the fixed income product function is maintained. These include the requirement to:

-Work closely with the investment team in order to fully understand the investment strategy and outlook across the entire array of fixed income products offered by Schroders

-Produce high quality range of written communication material for use by internal and external clients

-Produce presentation and marketing material for use in client reviews and new business pitches

-Provide accurate and timely responses to ad hoc queries and enquiries from internal and external clients

-Be responsible with the product managers for all product-related communications; the management of product-related consultant relationships and representing the product with external and internal audiences.

Specifically:

-Develop and maintain credible and compelling and timely product communications (e.g. RFPs, Product Brochures, Consultant database completion)

-Act as the product expert by representing the investment team with clients (e.g. new business pitches, client reviews) and journalists

-Act as product champion internally, seeking to establish maximum sales capacity for the product range including product based sales training
