The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, who can successfully work in a team environment often under time constraints and be able to take credit decisions under pressure in the best interest of the shareholder ensuring adherence to all processes and procedures as well as the integrity and consistency of the credit data relating to credit transactions
In summary this is a demanding role for which a strong mix of credit, analytical and process skills are crucial. It requires an ability to influence stakeholders, including customers, seniors of the bank, Risk, auditors or other areas of the Bank, to deliver against budget and to ensure processes meet the Bank's highest standards.
Job Background/context: The Investment Finance business of the Private Bank offers a diverse product range covering margin and security backed finance, commercial real estate and residential real estate finance, aircraft, private equity capital call, FX and derivatives trading facilities. The IF Transactor role within the Investment Finance team revolves around structuring and delivery of our core product range and the provision of tailored solutions to empower the CPB's High Net Worth clients to pursue balance sheet leverage, diversification and liquidity. Key Responsibilities:
Marketing of the IF product range, including client calling and account planning
Full loan underwriting with appropriate risk return characteristics
Preparation of Credit Applications and deal structuring in compliance with Risk Acceptance Criteria
Collateral Evaluation - Marketable Securities, Property and other asset classes
Financial Analysis including cash flow statements
Preparing and negotiating credit documentation for facilities, including liaison with external counsel as required as well as undertaking the annual review of documentation
Preparing and reviewing facility covenants
CA Annual reviews
Problem Recognition and classified loans remedial management

Extensive experience as a Credit Officer
Broad knowledge of the Citi's Core Credit Policies

Advanced Word and Excel skills required
