We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Quantitative Auditor within Abbey.
Santander’s Internal Audit Division is a global operation comprising more than 800 people across the world. The Santander UK Internal Audit team of over 70 people is a high-quality audit function that provides independent, objective opinions to the highest levels of management in Spain and the UK on how risks are managed.
We are looking for people with exceptional analytical skills. Your primary focus will be on assisting with audits of financial, statistical, risk and regulatory models in some of the most technically demanding areas of the bank. Additionally you will assist in the evaluation of the controls to manage capital, assets and liabilities and risks and across the financial markets function. Whilst employing a proactive demeanour, you will have a superior flair for prioritising your daily tasks in order to achieve your goals. Your excellent relationship-building qualities will be used to guide and coach more junior auditors to deliver routine tasks.

With a 2:1 minimum degree in Mathematics / Statistics or equivalent, you will also be studying towards a Masters Degree in Financial Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or other equivalent quantitative degree. You will have a solid understanding of capital market based products in addition to a strong all round understanding of respective modelling infrastructure – including use of models, model analysis and monitoring. Experience using programming languages such as VBA, Matlab, and C++ is also essential.
