Key Deliverables The role of the Group Treasury function is to support sustainable business growth through the proactive and efficient management of balance sheet resources. You will act as subject matter expert, responsible for the Strategy & Policy within the Capital Planning department, Group Treasury You will be tasked with the following key deliverables: - Review of policy developments that impact regulatory capital and to represent the Group as a subject matter expert
- Review of the capital implications of strategic transactions, and supporting Group capital raising initiatives
- Delivery of high quality briefing and analysis to the Group Asset and Liability Management Committee on Group and bank capital adequacy as required
- Maintenance of close links within Group Treasury particularly on capital raising, intra group funds flows and associate capital management issues
- Work with the Head of Capital Planning to support the Group Head of Capital, Group Finance Director, Group Treasurer and Head of Group Corporate Finance on a wide range of capital planning matters, including M&A activity
• Provide fit-for-purpose, creative, and timely solutions to ad-hoc regulatory capital and funding projects Experience • Experienced ALM professional • Professionally qualified (MBA, MCT, ACA) • You must be able to show that you can operate on your own initiative and identify potential issues, working to a high standard of accuracy and quality within tight deadlines. • We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team, using time and other resources effectively, manage changing/conflicting priorities and stay focused on the key outcome of activities. • Experience in UK regulatory capital – detailed knowledge of Capital Adequacy regulations coupled with general awareness of broader regulatory regime. • Highly developed PC skills with the ability to use spreadsheets for financial modelling • Highly developed report writing and presentational skills • IFRS awareness • Company Law awareness • Taxation awareness You will have the opportunity to manage a team of senior managers and managers/assistant managers. You will have a key input into the hiring of new employees and contributing towards the successful integration of new colleagues.
