Join this leading financial services organisation boasting a network of offices and services across the world. The Group has existing operations across Asia Pacific, and is currently propelling its perpetual growth and looking for new markets and business development opportunities in Asia. Due to continued growth and development, the position of Chief Finance Officer for the China businesses is now open. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your main mandate will be to implement and oversee high quality financial and business information to establish high level working practices and procedures. Overseeing several large departments including Finance, Actuarial, Internal Audit, Investments, Legal and Compliance you will ensure a high level of performance is maintained at all times. Drawing on your strong financial management experience, will be essential to oversee financial reporting, analysis and interpretation for the 10+ China business units, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting procedures at all times. In addition to your extensive financial background, your understanding of actuarial assumptions and product development will be vital in understanding the short and long term future impacts on the business. Role Preview: - Provide financial leadership in the business planning and financial reporting process.
- Develop and maintain an optimal capital and working capital strategy to ensure funding of long-term financing needs of the China business.
- Contribute to effective business and product development
- Identify, evaluate and mitigate unacceptable risk within operations to optimise the level of risk the business carries and to maximise stakeholder value and strategic plans.
- Define, deploy and maintain policies and procedures, ensure compliance to controls and standards and provide opinions to internal governance committees and external regulatory parties
- Support and promote efficient operations by establishing an appropriate performance evaluation structure, by providing insight analysis and advice relevant to our business strategies and targets
- Interface between financial and non financial stakeholders by communicating expectations, results and issues with integrity and transparency
You are a driven financial executive and actuary, possessing an impressive background of financial and actuarial experience, with a minimum 10 years relevant experience of which 5 years spent in a senior management capacity. You will have a strategic outlook and the strength of character to deal with shareholders, JV partners, government officials and internal and external executives across APAC. You will ideally have a solid understanding of Chinese regulations and while English is essential, Mandarin and other Asian languages are highly desirable.
