The Company

For an international customer in the region of Maastricht we are looking for a GL Accountant.

Principal Accountabilities

• Job Purpose Prepare monthly financial statements of DHL entities, in accordance with Accounting principles and corporate policies. Timely production of a quality balance sheet, and profit and loss accounts.
• Maintain chart of accounts
• Perform account reconciliations
• Prepare sub ledger reconciliations
• Prepare interface reconciliations
• Process GL postings and journals
• Prepare/process accruals and provisions
• Perform month-end closing activities according to month-end schedule
• Prepare VAT reporting
• Perform statutory reporting activities
• Prepare and report financial statements timely and in line with IFRS, DP and
• EFSS policy and guidelines
• Review journal vouchers from the business partner to ensure alignment with
• IFRS, DP and EFSS policy
• Maintain the financial accounts in line with IFRS, DP and EFSS policy
• Provide necessary information and service regarding general ledger to the
• business partners
• Ensure positive relationship with the business partners
• Provide internal and external auditors with all relevant information needed to
• perform an audit
• Review and improve existing processes

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

• HBO-level or equivalent by experience
• 2 years experience in an Accounting environment
• PC-Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Language skills: Good knowledge of English/French
