Michele Cardaropoli, Recruitment Consultant at Badenoch & Clark Luxembourg, is currently looking for a Senior Accountant for one of his Clients.
A well established and financially secure Trust Company in Luxembourg is looking for a Senior Accountant to be in charge of the bookkeeping and the fiscal declarations, of a number of international Client companies (Holdings, Soparfis, and SICAR etc.).
Your responsibilities:
You will be in charge of the bookkeeping of dedicated files. You will prepare the accounting on the basis of the information contained in the file and provided by your colleagues. Provide the required information to auditors, banks and administrations. Discuss balance sheets with clients and as the main contact person of the clients, you will maintain excellent relations with existing clients and intermediaries. On your own initiative, you will identify issues in the accounts, identify documentation required, either directly or for the purposes of the audit, and initiate the handling of such issues and documentation. Calculate tax provisions independently and will thereafter establish the corporate income tax return, including all the annex information and documentation required. Prepare and attend meetings (when and if necessary) with prospects and intermediaries while advising them on the products and services rendered and draft offer letters, propose terms and conditions. Analyse and evaluate specific client and prospect requests (other than ad-hoc requests for accounting and tax compliance) and be pro-active in identifying clients' needs and problems which could lead to new business.
Your profile:
Holder of a professional diploma in Accounting (Bac+2/3) or a university degree in Economics or Finance. Experience in Trust or audit. During this experience, you have learnt to read and understand balance sheets and prepare corporate tax returns. You are fluent in French and English (knowledge of Italian and or German would be an asset). Rigorous, dynamic and very well organised, you are able to work in an autonomously. Used to working in a team, you have good social and presentation skills. You are flexible and keen on continuously learning and improving your skills.
