Regulatory Analyst

Position Description:

The Legal & Compliance Department needs to hire a Regulatory Analyst to support the requirements of our Asia Pacific business. This role will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to Counsel for the region.

The Regulatory Analyst will work with attorneys and other professionals on a regional and global basis, with responsibility for providing legal / compliance services with respect to:

• Client matters in the Asia Pacific region: The Analyst will support client-related matters and regulatory requirements, e.g. contract negotiation and investment guideline analysis. This position will work closely with Legal & Compliance, as well as other professionals, to facilitate new client intake and support the day to day provision of client service.
• Conduct of business, licensing and other regulatory matters in the Asia Pacific region. This includes assisting with know your customer processes, individual personnel registration / de-registration, and licensing matters for Wellington Management and its affiliates.
• Business operations and corporate governance in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore (for example, negotiation of vendor contracts etc)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years relevant work experience
• Degree qualified, with a professional legal qualification, or equivalent experience within the financial services industry
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Learn quickly and seek responsibility in response to unique challenges
• Detail-orientated and proactive, with the ability to identify and develop more efficient processes within the Legal & Compliance Department
• Manage a range of tasks and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced global team environment
