Financial Controller | Senior Associate

London | Energy Trading Firm | Exceptional Compensation

A large Gas and Energy provider that has recently enjoyed one of its most profitable years is looking to expand its Finance team. The company is looking for exceptional financial controllers to join the Finance team in order to help facilitate the next stage in growth.

You will join the Financial Controls team and likely be responsible for the following:

-          Maintenance and production of Financial accounts – Balance Sheets, PnL and Variance Analysis (with commentary)

-          Reporting on all statutory accounting procedures such as SOX, UK/US GAAP

-          Liaise with the trading desks to ensure up to date knowledge of pricing and financial performance

-          Report to the Head of Finance with all issues

-          Work with clients and business development teams to ensure they understand the current pricing structures

The successful candidate will likely adhere to the following profile:

-          ACA qualified with all first time passes (‘Big4’ Qualified)

-          Experience of working with Gas/Energy commodities

-          A number of years experience working Gas and Energy companies in Audit/Accounting capacity

-          Prior experience of working in a Gas/Energy house either in Audit or Financial Control

-          Full understanding of International Reporting and Technical Accounting standards

-          Excellent communication skills a must

-          Solid numerical and problem solving ability
