Award winning and one of the leading legal and fiduciary services firms is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Services Officer within Fiduciary Services. This role will provide assistance with regards to accounting services required by the Fiduciary Services clients.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts preparation
Preparing accounts under UK GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP as relevant for more complex clients administered by the Fiduciary Services
Preparing monthly, quarterly, semi annual and ad-hoc management accounts for specific clients
Liaising with auditors and 3rd parties as necessary to facilitate accounts preparation/sign off
Reviewing of annual and management accounts as prepared by more junior accounting staff
Liaising with fee earners as necessary in order to establish the status of accounts prepared externally.
Monitoring of ongoing costs in relation to agreed budgets.
Maintaining of the accounts planning system, Retain, to ensure adequate resources, to establish priority and monitor WIP against agreed client/statutory/best practice deadlines as relevant
Maintaining of exception reports to help monitor/report the status of accounts prepared both in-house and externally
Supervision of the book keeping function associated with the administration team being serviced
Undertaking ad-hoc jobs as and when directed by the Accounting Services Associate Director
Training and assisting new members of staff on the various in-house accounting computer systems, databases, monitoring spread sheets and internal operating procedures
On the job training of more junior staff as and when required
Compliance with the Firm’s internal policies and procedures as may be amended from time to time
In cases where book keeping and/or accounts preparation is being addressed from another jurisdiction, the associated logistics and reporting lines are to be agreed with the Accounting Services Associate Director before any work is to commence
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (CA, CGA, CMA, CIMA, CPA or ACCA)
EU Passport holder
