A European Fund, Headed by the former Global Head of Systematic Trading from a leading Investment Bank, is looking for a senior Software Developer/Architect to lead a team of developers and act as a CTO.

You would be responsible for developing the architectural definition and design of a next-generation high-frequency trading platform. The successful candidate will work closely with the equity traders and technical analysts on developing a hardware-accelerated, multi-processor, multi-threaded platform that meets the requirements of their unique low-latency, high throughput algorithmic trading strategies.

Requirements:

  • System-level architectural thinker with excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Highly proficient in OO software development, C++ and Java
  • Expertise profiling, simulating, analyzing system performance
  • Expertise designing low-latency, multi-node messaging infrastructure
  • Expertise designing real-time, multi-processor system software
  • Expertise designing clustered systems
  • Expertise in Unix/Linux kernel development
  • Proficiency with networking protocols and topologies
  • Comfortable working with databases
  • Proven record of developing robust, scalable and extensible software
  • Collaborative, open technical resource and leader
  • Nimble and responsive to customer and partner needs
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent education in Computer Science or related engineering field and substantial experience developing financial trading systems is a must.
