Overview One of the most reputable Hedge Funds in the City (managing billions in equities) seeks a high calibre Computer Science or Computing graduate for the IT Engineering group. Having recently graduated - you should be looking to utilise your skill set within financial IT – particularly with regard to a technical support / systems administration and engineering function. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in one of the most high tech systems in finance where you will be responsible for the entire range of bespoke and generic applications. From desktop, to networks, servers, exchange to electronic trading technology including Market data, connectivity and Trade floor support, this a rare role that will encompass everything. Not only support and engineering of the systems your advise will be sought on the direction the fund takes with regards to future IT projects. As such you should be highly driven, motivated and enthusiastic about IT demonstrable through internships or dissertation projects. You will be working in an environment composed of some the brightest Oxbridge academics and scientists. Requirements • You must have a degree in Computer Science/ Computing from a good University and received a 2:1 or First ONLY • You should have A-levels grades at A or B. • A Demonstrable passion for IT and a desire to work in finance – NO PREVIOUS FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY • Some familiarity with the following platforms Windows / UNIX / LINUX – would be beneficial but not essential although some basic Desktop support experience would suffice. VBA would be useful.
