An exciting and challenging opportunity to join a multi-billion dollar investment company as SVP-Legal. You will provide strategic legal and commercial advice to the Principals, Directors and Private office Team.
The role provides broad exposure to a variety of legal and commercial matters including: Property, Aviation, Maritime and Projects. The role is best suited to an adaptable professional who enjoys working in a fast paced and diverse environment. Whilst independent management and accountability are required, it will also be important to be able to work in a team spirited and oriented manner.
Key Responsibilities
- All legal issues arising across the Private Office. - Transaction management and documentation. - Providing legal advice and recommendations to the Principals, Board of Directors and Private Office team and playing a key role in the decision making process of a number of legal and commercial activities - Dispute resolution. - International project management and coordination of external service providers.
Skills - Ability to take a leadership role in transactions and projects from both a legal and commercial perspective. - Extraordinary analytical abilities, written and verbal communication skills and negotiation acumen. - Ability to manage teams and external service providers (including external legal counsel) in an efficient, strategic and commercial manner.
Attributes - Enjoys solving problems - Good commercial judgement. - A team player. - Enthusiastic and high energy. - Strong interpersonal skills and cross-cultural awareness. - Attention to detail.
Experience Requirement - Legal education from a leading University. - PQE 6+ (including substantial experience in a top global law firm). - Project management experience. - Direct business/commercial involvement (decision maker) would be an advantage.
