Duties & accountabilities • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining data for a wide range of corporate action event types • Implementation of changes to other data types i.e. reference data as a result of corporate actions • Support for the existing corporate actions processes, and involvement in future developments • Establish productive working relationships with both internal and external parties These will include data vendors, product heads and technology • Involvement in Equity Reference Data related projects, including gathering requirements, analysis, liaising with development and project management teams to ensure delivery of the project • Coordination with out source resources in India • Coordination with key product areas in providing data support • Assist with day to day management of resources • Assist with operational and support procedures definition Business Competencies Education and experience • Undergraduate degree level in a financial/quantitative discipline or equivalent • Experience in financial data support, with a focus on corporate actions, typically through employment at investment banks, exchanges or in asset servicing • Strong understanding of corporate action event types, and their impact on other data i.e. reference data and pricing • Experience of maintaining corporate actions data, and the processes and risks involved • Strong IT skills, preferably VBA and SQL experience Management Experience • Experience of managing both local and remote teams would be an advantage Commercial Awareness • Financial support services experience • Reference and Corporate Actions data Personal competencies Personal impact • Detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills • Flexible and willing to adapt to changing situations • Strong leadership skills • Displays energy, drive and stamina • Self starter • Excellent team-working skills Communication • Good verbal and written communication skills with clients, team members and other teams is a must Teamwork • The position will be based in London, with additional resources located in Singapore and, potentially, New York. There is also responsibility for a number of out source resources in India.
