A major investment bank is seeking to expand the product control team due to accelerated growth in its global markets front office. If you are an expert in financial systems and market products with product control experience, and possess an ACA/CA accounting qualification then this is the ideal job for you. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the product with respect to finance’s requirements from point of initiation to point of passing to BAU
- Ensure the booking system can generate the necessary accounting for the product and if not develop the business requirements so that the appropriate rules can be built and tested
- Ensuring that the booking systems can automatically transfer the accounting from the transactions systems to the reporting systems
- Ensuring that the New Product / Business is incorporated into the P&L reporting process
- Ensuring that finance understand how the new product will be funded, hedged, the impact on capital, and regulatory reporting and tax complications
- Understand the product and business rationale to ensure finance covers all the key considerations when supporting the implementation of the new product.
- Additionally, you will be required to provide training and support documentation to countries impacted by the new product ensuring that process maps are up-to-date and accurate at all times
Qualifications • A qualified Accountant is essential – preferably from a CA / ACA course • Exposure to FX, IR and Credit financial products in financial services sector is desirable • At least 8 years experience in finance / accounting of which 4+ years were spent in markets finance in a product control environment. • Strong project management skills • Experience in implementing a Market’s System will be highly regarded. • Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills Interested candidates are invited to send their profile or contact details to cjay@morganmckinley.com.sg for a confidential discussion.
