Our expanding Risk & Controls Solutions (RCS) team partners with clients to improve their risk profile by identifying, quantifying and managing risks associated with their business, across a range of risk disciplines including credit, market & operational risk; information security & projects, governance & compliance, data analytics and forensic services. The changing landscape of Risk presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Risk & Compliance specialist to explore and actively drive new business development opportunities. As a Director in Risk and Controls you will play a strategic role in driving the group's achievement of its ambitious growth objectives as well as deliver strategic and operational services to enhance Risk and Control frameworks for their clients. This role is responsible for driving business development, delivering consulting engagements and leveraging your subject matter expertise to grow our capabilities in terms of intellectual property and developing junior staff. Responsibilities include: - Advising clients on appropriate operational risk, compliance, regulatory and governance frameworks and processes
- Developing strategies for clients to respond or adapt to regulatory changes or enforcements arising from business diversification, acquisition or legislative changes
- Reviewing, designing and implementing key business processes to meet risk and regulatory requirements
- Actively promoting and contributing to relevant internal knowledge sharing forums and external thought leadership
- Managing a professional and motivated team, including mentoring junior staff
- Building profitable relationships with potential and existing clients that help grow the Risk business
- Identifying and driving sales across a portfolio of accounts
The successful candidate will possess the following key skills and attributes: - Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Strong experience in Operational Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment and requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial and strategic focus on influencing and advising clients
- Proven business development and relationship building skills
- Team-focused style with strong organisational and project management skills
