A strong knowledge of Interest Rate Derivatives is required as well as experience within a top tier Investment Bank. Knowledge of the full project lifecycle is essential as well as someone who can write business requirements. This role is pitched at Vice President level.
This role is for an analyst working as part of team responsible for delivering a new Market Risk Infrastructure with the aim of replacing existing Market systems and processes and providing a single scalable and flexible production process for DVaR, Risk Sensitivities and Stress Testing. The main functions of the job are:
o To identify new requirements by interacting with Risk Managers and IT.
o To identify risk management issues, review proposed risk solutions for completeness, direct further analysis, plan work and its execution.
o General Business Analysis and systems development/enhancement related to Market Risk related initiatives
o Co-ordination and execution of UAT's associated with the above initiatives including consolidating user issues
Main Duties The candidate will be responsible and accountable for components of the Market Risk Project. Typically these involve the following tasks -
* Building the business requirements to a comprehensive standard by working with MRP colleagues, Production Team and Risk Managers, analysing their requirements and documenting them.
* Defining and executing the testing plan, raising defects and working with IT to solve problems/defects.
* The Analyst must form an effective working relationship with the Team Members and IT team.

My client is seeking a Market Risk professional with miniumum 5-6 years experience in Market Risk within Financial Services. The candidate must have a BSc or higher; PMI (Project Management Institute) or equivalent MSc or equivalent. Project experience is essential from an Investment banking / risk management background.
