One of Edinburgh’s leading Investment Managers is seeking an Operational Risk Manager to assist the business in the management of operational risk through conducting process reviews, root cause analysis on risk events, highlighting process weaknesses and agreeing mitigating actions with the business. You contribute to the ongoing development of the risk framework to continuously improve coverage, and depth, proportional to the needs of the business.
In this role you must be able to:

To contribute to the development of the Operational Risk Framework with a view to continually improving coverage, depth and relevance to the management of Risk.

To conduct process reviews in accordance with the company Risk Framework, developing, identifying risks and assessing the mitigating control environment
•
To conduct root cause analysis on material risk events, identifying control weaknesses or failures (issues), reviewing compensation calculations, where relevant and approving corrective action.

As required from time to time, work with the business in the development of processes, procedures and frameworks to reduce business risk
•
In this role you will be expected to have a working knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the business operates, both within the UK and abroad. You should have knowledge of current UK and Overseas Regulations relating to Fund Management, and be able to manage customer relationships internally and externally.
